Here at Proboard we have decided to introduce a new species of softwood timber to you.
The species of the month is CHINESE FIR, also known as Cunninghamia in its Latin name.
It is a significant forest resource in China and is frequently cultivated there.
The Chinese Fir is naturally durable with an attractive scent. Easily worked, and resistant to termites and insects. It is light yellow to white in colour and has a density of 0.4 to 0.5. It is utilised in home construction as well as for coffins, flooring, panels, and furniture.
We can also obtain FSC certification for this product.
Here at Proboard we are introducing pre-primed stair components in this species.
When compared to other softwood species, Chinese fir is cost-effective, durable, and environmentally sustainable.
